After serving in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate General and Special Assistant United States Attorney, I became certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics as a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) in 2010. I am licensed to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Georgia. My company, CLEAResources LLC, is a woman veteran-owned consulting firm, providing advice to companies on legal risk mitigation and development of the compliance and ethics program infrastructure required by the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. I am serving my second two-year term as a board member of INCBA. I have also chaired the Ethics Committee since June 2019 and presented many CLE ethics sessions. In 2020, I was recognized as a Cannabis Law Trailblazer by the National Law Journal and as a Finalist for the Compliance Week “Excellence in Compliance Awards” in the Best Consultant/Advisor category. I am also a founding director of the International Association of Independent Corporate Monitors, and I have served as a corporate monitor under administrative compliance agreements and deferred prosecution agreements. I am based in the Washington DC metro area with the guinea pigs left behind by my two college-aged children.
